Where do the tours start and end?
All our Tours start under the arch of the Bridge of Remembrance, Cashel Street, Christchurch Central City, Christchurch 8011 - on the corner of Oxford Terrace and Cashel Streets. Get directions here. Tours end at the Christchurch Arts Centre - which is 350 meters from the starting point. (Normally our guide walks back to the starting point so you'll be welcome to stroll back with him / her.
Are the tours suitable for most people?
Yes, the walking speed is an easy paced walk and suitable for most people.
How much does the tour cost?
NZD $25 per adult
NZD $25 equates to approximately: USA$15 or EU$12.80 or GB11 Pound
Children aged 10 to 18: NZD$10 – when accompanied by an adult. (Max 3 children per adult)
Children under 10: free
What time of day are the tours?
We have two tours running each day. Start times are at 10am and 1pm daily.
Do the tours run every day?
Yes - the tours run every day and in all weather conditions - but if we have no pre day bookings, we may cancel a particular tour. (It's always best to book in advance as if you've booked - the Tour proceeds!)
How do I recognize the guide?
Look for the purple umbrella at our meeting point. Your guide will be there wearing the logo (see left) on their clothing or hat.
How long does the tour last?
The normal length is approx. 100 minutes
Can I book and pay on the day?
To avoid disappointment, we recommend booking early.
Only if there are still spaces available, you can book via your phone using our “just in time” QR code OR use the guide's device which enables you to book and pay online if spaces allow.
Should I tip the guide?
The costs of the tours are covered by the $25 p.p price however if you feel that the guide has added truly great value, then guides won't say no!
Is this tour suitable for all?
The content is suitable for all people. There is 2.5 km to be covered. Most people can cope easily.
How can I change my booking?
If you need to change your tour to a different time/date, go to the confirmation email and select Change booking.
